As articulated in the goals of the Central Surgical Association's Statement on Racism & Diversity, the CSA has created a task force on diversity, inclusion and race to better understand these issues within the association in order to have a positive impact on our members.
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force has been hard at work to better understand and serve the needs of all members of the Association. One of the goals of the Task Force is to understand the demographics of our membership and is asking for your help in two ways; by updating your CSA Membership profile; and by answering an anonymous demographic climate survey. Both updates will provide more granularity on these issues. While many members have responded, those who havenít are encouraged to take the time now to update their member profiles and also respond to the anonymous survey.

The CSA is administering demographic requests to help the CSA establish a baseline understanding of the current membership. These two tasks will help the CSA leadership further evaluate the CSA roles in regards to diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.
