


CSA 2026 Travel Scholarship for Historically and Intentionally Excluded Populations

In an effort to promote diversity, equity and inclusion in the surgical workforce, the CSA offers a travel scholarship for surgeons from historically and intentionally excluded populations in the United States and Canada. The goal of this scholarship is to increase participation and access to the educational content and networking opportunities provided by the CSA and the CSA Annual Meeting. CSA membership is not required to apply. Eligibility is open to faculty within the first 15 year of practice who meet any of the criteria for historically and intentionally excluded populations by the National Institutes of Health (November 2019 Notice of NIH's Interest in Diversity) or by the Natural Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada. The successful recipient will receive: complimentary registration to attend the 2026 CSA Annual Meeting; and reimbursement of up to $1,500 to support travel, lodging, and meals to attend the 2026 Annual Meeting.
